What are the responsibilities and job description for the Transportation Driver, Class A, (Day Shift) position at Shehadey Family Foods LLC?
Responsibilities :
- Compliance with all federal, state and company driving regulations.
- Interfacing with customers in a friendly professional manner delivering superior customer service.
- Verifying assigned delivery route for the day; obtaining the proper delivery tickets and load sheets along with any other resources to successfully complete deliveries.
- Locating assigned equipment in the yard; performing a vehicle pre-trip inspection and recording any deficiencies; checking load-in trailer for stability while transporting and accurately counting product.
- Locating empty equipment (bossy carts, green cases, IC racks); counting and securing equipment on pallets if warranted.
- Loading equipment on trailer for return to our locations; maintaining accurate records of transported equipment.
- Collecting, reviewing, and submitting accurate route settlement paperwork.
- Maintaining professional and appropriate dress, hygiene, and personal appearance.
- Completing preventive maintenance requirements; troubleshooting malfunctions; and maintaining safe vehicle conditions.
- Approaching work with a Continuous Improvement (CI) mindset, and engaging in Producers Dairy Mission Statement to identify, value, prioritize, resource, and sustain improvement opportunities.
