Key Responsibilities:
Create a student-centered, achievement-oriented classroom culture
Use data to design engaging projects with a focus on literacy and reading achievement
Demonstrate strong instructional practices and classroom management
Build meaningful relationships with students and families
Co-teach and collaborate in designing interdisciplinary curriculum
Mentor a small cohort of students through advisory
Participate fully in staff meetings, PD, and community-building activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree required
Rhode Island teaching certification or eligibility for an Expert Residency or Emergency Certificate
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to teach across disciplines, especially with literacy integration
Deep commitment to equity, inclusion, and culturally responsive teaching
