Position Summary
SHEIN Global Security and Risk Management (GSRM) is a global security organization that oversees security infrastructure, risk management, data privacy, business fraud, governance, and regulatory compliance across SHEIN’s global footprint. We're seeking a full-time Senior Network Operations Engineer (Official Title: Senior Security Engineer I) for our San Diego-based office hub, who will be responsible for overseeing the monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintenance of the company’s network and IT systems. This role requires advanced technical knowledge and experience in network and systems operations.
This position will be actively involved in the procedural development and maturity of SHEIN’s network monitoring capabilities. It is expected to respond to network incidents, identify issues, and coordinate resolutions in a timely manner while ensuring minimal disruption to services. They also mentor junior analyst and collaborate with other teams to maintain network uptime.
This Senior Security Engineer, Network Operations will serve as a primary contact for IT support and provide solutions for hardware, software, and network issues to ensure the technology infrastructure effectively supports its SHEIN’s mission. They will use various monitoring tools, network elements, and management systems to identify and troubleshoot issues in wired and wireless networks. They will assist with software upgrades for network elements and participate in adding or removing network elements as needed.
Job Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot issues with local-area network (LAN) and wide-area network (WAN) infrastructures
- Integrate core network monitoring services with other systems through use of services, such as application programming interface (API)
- Participate in technology integration efforts and projects with other cross-functional teams
- Design and implement projects for the Network team
- Lead projects by collaborating with other team members and project management teams
- Propose solutions and create network designs that meet the project's needs and actively participating in all project meetings
- Analyzing tactical situations, troubleshooting, root causing systems and tools, and problem solving via tasks or larger cross functional projects.
- Provide recommendations for improvements to establish efficiency and efficacy standards within the department
- Evaluate, plan, and execute changes consistent with current technology trends
- Act as an operations escalation point for service exceptions in an on-call rotation
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT), relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of two years’ experience or equivalent working in network operations
- Minimum of four years’ experience or equivalent working in IT, or a related field
- Advanced knowledge of OSI model network protocols.
- Advanced knowledge of Transmission Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), dynamic routing protocols, switches, firewalls, routers, wireless access points, network access control systems, and servers
- Experience configuring, managing, and setting up effective monitoring alerts on enterprise grade network monitoring tools
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Technical aptitude and detail oriented
- Strong project management and multitasking skills
- Work outside of normal working hours during maintenance windows and planned moves
- Open to on-going trainings and certifications, as needed
- Experience utilizing technologies such as: Zabbix, Imperva, Fortinet, Aruba, Cisco, Pingdom, F5 is highly desired
- Experience with endpoint device types, required connectivity, wired and wireless networks and more
- Experience in troubleshooting ISP connectivity, circuit monitoring and failover
- Proactive efficacy validation of all ISP, Firewall, Network Device inclusive of capacity management
Pay
$107,600.00 min. - $180,200.00 max annually. Bonus & RSU offered.
