Position Overview: As Material Clerk, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient management of warehouse consumables and materials. Your responsibilities will include organizing and distributing consumables, updating inventory records, checking supplies received, assisting in warehousing and distribution tasks, tracking material usage, and assisting in material inspections and inventory. The coordinator will maintain the organization’s inventory, ordering and supplying necessary items while maintaining accurate records of all procurements.
Key Responsibilities:
· Organize and distribute daily consumables and maintain accurate inventory records.
· Update material managers on consumables usage and inventory levels and provide inventory reports to the purchasing and inventory control managers.
· Verify incoming supplies against bill of landing and purchase orders.
· Assist in warehousing, distribution, and labeling tasks using OMMS System.
· Track materials needing repair, replacement, or disposal and provide data to material manager.
· Support regular material inspections and inventory audits.
· Maintains consistent stock of inventory, ordering new stock up to pre-authorized limit as inventory dwindles.
· Establishes and maintains backup sources for high-demand items.
· Assesses inventory reports and order patterns to identify items in need of automatic, recurring delivery.
· Develops and maintains good working relationships with vendors.
· Maintains accurate daily records of goods received and shipments made.
· Manages and maintains inventory system; facilitates upgrades to related databases and/or software under the direction of the purchasing or inventory control manager.
· Conducts frequent spot and partial audits of physical inventory.
· Assists with periodic (at least annual) physical inventory audits.
· Perform other tasks as assigned by management to support warehouse operations.
Skills & Qualifications:
· 1-2 years of experience in warehouse or materials management preferred.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
· Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
· Good communication skills and ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
· Knowledge of warehouse operations, material handling procedures, and safety protocols.
