Our worldwide experience and multi-disciplined capabilities encompass all aspects of the Engineering, Procurement, Construction Management, Field Inspection, GIS Integrity, Staffing Services and more.The Principal Designer- Piping is responsible for performing detailed design activities in the Piping discipline.Essential FunctionsPerform complex designs and layouts of Piping & Instrument Diagrams, Piping Plans, Sections & Isometrics and Piping Bill of Materials utilizing CAD hardware and software.Review vendor drawings and information.Train and direct designers and other CAD personnel.Ability to function in lead role on projects.Qualifications5 years of CAD experience10 or more years of design experience in a drafting environment developing Piping & Instrument Designs (P&IDs), piping plans and sections and piping bills of materials.Working knowledge of applicable codes and industry standardsPrevious project leadership preferredExperience in piping projects for pipeline companies and / or upstream companies’ compressor stations, pump stations, and facilities preferredDemonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skillsRecent version of AutoCAD and CadWorx requiredMicrosoft ExcelEducationHigh school diploma requiredAssociates Degree or certification from technical trade preferredCompetenciesProblem-solving skillsResults orientedCustomer focusedExcellent oral and written communication skillsWork Environment / Physical DemandsWorking conditions are normal for an office environmentFrequent sitting and operating a computerMust be able to exert up to 10 pounds of force occasionallyGulf is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
