Job Duties
- Responsible for reviewing and revising intelligence or communication products and other documents prepared by DoD analysts for publication into the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) / Secretary of Defense's Intelligence Update.
- As such, the editor works with primary authors to edit / rewrite products for organization, grammar, style, accuracy, consistency of technical data, etc.
- Advises management and analysts with expert technical knowledge of the DIA Style Guide.
- At the discretion of the Division Chief, the editor is assigned to support crisis management operations, edit desk noted for the senior leaders, and review products for dissemination to partner services.
- Ability to operate on short timelines, flexibility, and excellent oral and written communication skills are essential.
