What are the responsibilities and job description for the Phlebotomist position at SHELBY COUNTY CHRIS A MYRTUE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL?
SCHEDULE: Full-time; 36 hours per week; Hours vary between 6:00 am - 8:00 pm; Sunday - Saturday
Performs various waived or moderate complexity testing in hematology, coagulation, chemistry, microbiology, blood banking, immunology, and urinalysis. He/she receives or obtains specimens for laboratory analysis and prepares specimens for reference laboratory. Responsible for specimen processing, test performance, and reporting of results. Assists in the clerical duties of the lab and assists the medical technologists. The Phlebotomist is under the direction of the Laboratory Director and the supervision of the general supervisor.
