Overview
The Deputy Circuit Clerk performs a variety of specialized and confidential administrative and clerical duties requiring independent judgment and problem-solving to enhance efficient court clerk operations, including procedures related to the processing, accepting, reviewing, and reporting of electronically filed cases and documents.
Duties
- Work with a team of people to perform essential court functions.
- maintain court dockets.
- Recording and filing of legal documents.
- Prepare court summons, citations, and other legal documents.
- Be responsible for the security of documents that are sealed, impounded, or expunged.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Provide clerical support, including filing, scanning, and organizing office materials.
- Assist customers by answering inquiries and providing information about services.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain records of financial activities.
- Conduct data entry tasks to ensure accurate record-keeping within the office system.
- Support administrative functions by scheduling appointments and managing calendars.
- Collaborate with other staff members to facilitate smooth operations within the office.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in compliance with legal standards.
Qualifications
