Crops Department - FT - PT - Seasonal Help Needed

Shelby County Co-op is hiring for several positions! We are in need of Class A or B Seasonal Drivers and and Full or Part-time Crops Service Techs.

The Crops Department Service Tech is asked to perform a wide variety of tasks. Tasks may include hauling agricultural products to customer locations, loading and unloading of products, general maintenance of equipment, and any other duties as needed. Providing quality service to our crops customers in a timely and professional manner is our top priority.

Seasonal Drivers will need to have a Class A or B CDL to drive our liquid fertilizer and/or dry fertilizer trucks. Drivers will deliver product to the applicator at the customers field. Drivers must be able to read maps or use a navigation app.

Candidates must be willing to work extended hours, 6 to 7 days a week during busy seasons. Must be willing and able to obtain a Restricted Ag CDL (Class B) within 2 weeks of employment.

Responsibilities:

• Load, handle, and apply dry and liquid fertilizer, lime and crop protection products (chemicals)
• Fill NH3 tanks (Anhydrous Ammonia)
• Deliver NH3 tanks to customer locations
• Deliver dry or liquid fertilizer to Applicator in customers fields
• Maintain accurate records of product delivery
• Maintain trucks and equipment
• Maintain shop and grounds
• Other duties may be assigned

Physical Requirements:

• Climbing in and out of equipment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
• Bending, lifting, twisting, walking
• Ability to work in the outdoor elements

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week

Experience:

• Commercial Driving: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Required)
