What are the responsibilities and job description for the Direct Support Professional (DSP) position at Shelby County Community Services, Inc.?
Direct Support Provider (DSP) needed for 4pm- 12 midnight and midnight to 8 am for local group homes.
Shelby County Community Services, Inc. currently has openings for ALREADY TRAINED and CERTIFIED DSPs to work the afore mentioned shifts. SCCS has two small group homes in need of staff as soon as possible. The "Bogard House" has 5 residents and our "CRA House" also has 5 individuals.
These shifts assist in preparing supper and snacks for our residents as well as doing "in house" activities with them during "waking hours"
The staff on these shifts also assist with evening routines such as personal care, preparing for bedtime, and sometimes going on outings with them during early evening hours.
SCCS expects our DSPs to be actively engaged with our residents during their waking hours.

Pay rate is 18.00 per hour which INCLUDES THE 1.00 per hour shift differential from 4pm to 8 am. Rates between 8 am and 4 pm are 17.00.
