Position Summary
Works under limited supervision to perform advanced professional accounting work and related duties as assigned.Pay Grade: 52
Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
2. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Public Business Administration; OR
3. An equivalent combination of related education and/or experience.
4. PROOF OF EDUCATION; TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
2. Assists with daily reconciliations of cash and credit card payments.
3. Assists with monthly reconciliations of financial reports.
4. Provides information for and assists with month-end and year-end closing.
5. Prepares and submits Journal entries for approval.
6. Assists with audits for various sections as directed.
7. Performs other related duties as required or directed.
2. Ability to analyze and solve problems.
3. Knowledge of budgeting; fiscal management and purchasing procedures.
4. Knowledge of principles and methods of supervision.
5. Knowledge of the rules; regulations and contract requirements governing the agency's financial record-keeping operations and skills in applying them.
6. Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluating situations and making decisions.
7. Ability to use Microsoft Excel; Access and Word and ability to learn the County's computerized financial systems.
8. Ability to deal tactfully with the public and co-workers.

1. Three (3) years of experience in the use of accounting principles, techniques, theories, preferably in a public agency; AND2. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, Finance, Public Business Administration; OR

Special Requirements
Must be proficient in all MS Office applications (Excel Word PowerPoint and Access) with mandatory advanced Excel spreadsheet experience to include creating macros pivot tables and the use of Vlookup etc.Disclaimer
