Position Summary
Enhance and integrate HIV/STI screening and testing activities.
Pay Grade: 57
Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
Application Special Instructions
This position is eligible for a HIRING BONUS outlined below:
1st payment of $1500 paid after completion of six (6) months of service
2nd payment of $1500 paid after completion of twelve (12) months of service
3rd payment of $2000 paid after completion of eighteen (18) months of service
Minimum Qualifications
1. Five (5) years of experience in a clinical and managerial capacity; AND
2. Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in nursing, with an advanced level of preparation and professional expertise in a clinical field, AND
3. Licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Tennessee.
4. Nurse Practitioner, preferred.
5. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities
1.Performs STI clinical exams, diagnostic procedures, prescribes treatment, provides family planning and sexual health services and/or referrals, and follow-up care. 2.Creates an integrated HIV, STI, and viral hepatitis vulnerability screening tool. 3.Manages sexual health and family planning clinics, and training. 4.Tracks patients with positive screening and testing results. 5.Increases community and provider awareness of Expedited Partner Therapy (EPT). 6.Increases provider awareness of HIV, STIs, and viral hepatitis testing. 7.Provides clinical oversight and consultation to agency and nurse practitioners. 8.Develops and implements outreach programs for HIV high risk populations. 9.Responsible for the health care system in clinical training. 10.Audit and oversee medical record reviews. 11.Performs related duties as assigned or directed.
Special Requirements
1. Must possess a valid Tennessee driver's license by date of employment.
2. Must have daily access to an operable automobile and meet Shelby County requirements for automobile insurance upon date of employment.
3. Must be able to travel to other clinics.
4. Must have prescriptive authority from Primary Care Advisory Board, and state of Tennessee Certificate of Fitness.
5. Must maintain all required certifications and licenses throughout duration of employment.
KSAs
1. Expert knowledge in nursing and ability to function independently.
2. Knowledge of social and economic factors affecting the health of people.
3. Ability to present information verbally and in writing with charts, grafts, and visual aids.
4. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
