Position Summary
Performs responsible clerical work involved in scheduling, analyzing, processing and maintaining policy level financial, statistical, and data control reports and records with wide latitude for the exercise of initiative and independent judgment.
Pay Grade: 44
Salary Commensurate with Experience and Education
Minimum Qualifications
1. Four (4) years of experience in secretarial, bookkeeping, data processing or statistical work; AND
2. High school diploma or possess a GED.
3. PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED.
Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provides organizational assistance to the manager and supervisors.
2. Supports manager and supervisors in data gathering and preparation of reports and materials.
3. Assists in verifying any or all information compiled, analyzed, recorded and maintained.
4. Aids with activities associated with the use of the procurement card such as procurement request, sign-off, and procurement card payment request.
5. Assist in purchases of supplies and services for the department and assists in tracking expenditures.
6. Prepares the required documents associated with the requisition, payment and reconciliation of activities of the department.
7. Provides general office support to the manager and supervisors.
8. Operates and ensures the maintenance of office machines.
9. Maintains and determines disposition of all records associated with function of job independently.
10. Performs other related duties as assigned or directed.
KSAs
1. Knowledge of food service practices and techniques.
2. Ability to plan, organize and maintain an even flow of work.
3. Knowledge and/or skill required in a high-volume food service operation.
4. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
5. Excellent organizational skills.
6. Computer literate with knowledge of MS Office, word, and excel.
Special Requirements
1. Must pass an NCIC background check.
2. Must be able to function in a prison environment.
3. Must pass a drug screening.
4. Participate in annual in-service and other training programs as required.
