Work is performed under the direction of the Day Camp Directors. Work includes overseeing all staff and participants of Day Camp. Assist Directors with overall flow of Camp and should ensure accountability and support for all Day Camp Staff
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
Assistant Directors assume the responsibilities of the Director in his or her absence; supervises Summer Day Camp counselors and campers; ensures safety as their number one priority; helps schedule and organize daily activities for campers; ensures scheduling is accurate; maintains excellent communication skills to convey camp procedures to parents and campers; maintains a positive and professional attitude towards co-workers, participants, parents; ensures cleanliness of office space and general organization of supplies for activities; responsible for assisting counselors with classroom management, behavior issues and/or communicating to parents about payments.
