What are the responsibilities and job description for the Trap & Archery Range Officer position at Shelby Township Michigan?
The Charter Township of Shelby is now accepting applications for a Part-Time/Seasonal Trap & Archery Range Officer. Interested applicants must be available to work 9:00 a.m. 8:00 p.m. Thursday - Sunday, during the season. The range is located at our River Bends Park (4101 River Bends Drive, Shelby Township, MI 48317). The hourly rate for this position is $15.39, no benefits.
DESCRIPTION:
This position is to operate and maintain the shooting/archery range and to manage the public use of this range in a safe and proper environment. Some of the job duties associated with this classification would include, but would not be limited to:
- Sell daily and annual range permits to patrons.
- Maintain inventory of permit sales and issued cash bag.
- Enforce range rules and regulations.
- Perform various repairs and clean-up duties
- Wood structure repairs
- Painting
- Raking cement trap shooting areas as needed.
- Rake & Clean-up around archery hay bales targets as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous experience with firearms and archery is recommended.
- Possess a valid Michigan driver's license
