ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Assist students with self-regulation (Prioritize self-regulation within the classroom setting)
- Meet with students individually and in small groups to teach self-regulation, executive function, and / or social skills
- Promote, support, and model the SCS Tier 1 Social Emotional Learning initiative
- Assist MTSS team with behavior referrals and behavior plan development for Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports
- Support teachers on strategies to help with student behavior and decrease time outside of the classroom setting
- Member of building-level crisis response team
- Performs other tasks as the Administrators, Behavior Support Team, or his / her designee may assign
- Communicate with building staff including but not limited to special education staff, general education staff and administration in regards to behavior supports for students
- Collaborate with service providers and related service personnel
- Collect data as required by supervising teacher and staff
- Maintain satisfactory attendance
- Responsible and willing to take initiative
- CPR certification and / or ability to be trained and certified
- Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification and / or ability to be trained and certified
- Attend required professional development as assigned by Behavior Team and administration
- Complies with Corporation Bylaws, Policies, and Employee Handbook
- Model Corporation Mission Statement and Fundamental Objectives
