ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
CPR certification and / or ability to be trained and certifiedCrisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) certification and / or ability to be trained and certifiedAttend required training sessionsWith proper training, provide personal care / assistance to student as outlined in the Individualized Health Care Plan, including :assisting with diapering / toileting, catheterization, positioning, feeding, suctioning, lifting, g-tube care, blood stats and other health care needs when indicated
monitoring respiratory / health status and report to nurse when there are concernsutilizing Universal Precautions and other procedures to reduce possibility of infectionProviding / assisting with other health and personal care as directed by nurse / teacherMonitor accommodations needed by student to meet requirements in general education settingsHandles clerical functions related to job responsibilitiesAssists instructional personnel with the development and presentation of learning materials and instructional exercisesAssists in administering standardized and course level tests with appropriate accommodations as determined on student's IEPWhen indicated, plans for and executes tutoring for the studentKeeps daily logs on student when requestedHelps student master instructional equipment and instructional materials assigned by the teacherAttends assigned professional development and implements new practices successfullyIs well organized, responsible, flexible and has a strong work ethic.Good communication skillsEnjoys working with studentsMaintains satisfactory attendanceComplies with Corporation Bylaws, Policies, and Employee HandbookModel Corporation Mission Statement and Fundamental ObjectivesMust meet federal highly qualified guidelines for instructional assistants.Building / Campus Hendricks Elementary School
