We are looking for a skilled Upholsterer to join our team and bring a high level of craftsmanship to our custom furniture designs. If you have a passion for working with fabrics, an eye for detail, and experience in furniture upholstery, we’d love to hear from you!
Responsibilities:
- Upholster new custom furniture pieces, including chairs, sofas, benches, and headboards.
- Restore and reupholster existing furniture, ensuring quality craftsmanship.
- Select, measure, and cut fabric, leather, and other materials to fit design specifications.
- Install padding, webbing, and springs to create durable and comfortable seating.
- Work with designers and woodworkers to bring upholstery concepts to life.
- Maintain and operate upholstery tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Ensure a high level of quality control in every finished piece.
- Stay up to date with upholstery trends, techniques, and materials.
Requirements:
- Several years of experience in furniture upholstery or a related field.
- Proficiency in working with a variety of fabrics, leathers, and upholstery materials.
- Strong knowledge of upholstery tools and techniques, including sewing, stapling, and tufting.
- Ability to read and interpret design specifications and measurements.
- Keen attention to detail and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team setting.
- Experience with custom furniture or high-end upholstery is a plus.
