What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry Level Wood Craftsman (Floating Shelves) position at Shelfology?
JOB TO START BEGINNING/MIDDLE OF JANUARY 2025
(Training wage starting at $13 with increases based on increased productivity in the first three months)
In the wood shop you will be:
1. working with your hands to create products from raw wood materials to completed furniture quality custom floating wood shelves, per design specifications. (previous experience using wood machinery like a table saw, band saw, drill press, and sander is desired but not required.)
2. working with cool, but dangerous equipment.
3. working with cool, but safe team members
4. working to deadlines and policing your own efforts to meet them.
5. pulling your full load as part of a small, but close-knit team.
6. maintaining cleanliness, order and an atmosphere of happy hustle.
7. building manufacturing processes and equipment.
8. telling your friends about how much you enjoy your job.
As a person, you should:
1. love working with your hands and brain together.
2. be reliable, punctual, and able to stay for the entire shift.
3. be able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
4. be a team member / collaborator (not a lone wolf).
5. Be able to take direction well and being open for improvement.
6. have excellent problem-solving skills, and great attention to detail.
7. be able to multi-task and take clear, and often very direct, instructions.
8. be an independent problem solver, that sees and fixes problems without being asked.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
