Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Research environmental market fundamentals/topics (All REC markets and RPS programs), as requested.
- Manage REC inventories, obligation forecasts and registry retirements.
- Collect trade and market data and build/create reports for management.
- Identify and recommend process changes, as needed.
- Facilitate cross functional team coordination/knowledge share.
- Engage VP and Risk Management on positioning, pricing and PnL reporting.
- Develop advanced technical skills in data analysis and query, specifically SQL.
- Other duties as assigned
- Experience in environmental settlements/pricing/risk management.
- Demonstrated technical and data query ability, specifically SQL.
- Power BI or advanced data presentations.
- 2 Years in a Data or Fundamental Analysis/Pricing/Risk Management.
- Master or Advanced Degree (or pursuit of) – not required but encouraged.

- Bachelor’s degree – Business/Finance/Marketing/Quantitative degree preferred.
- Working knowledge of US environmental (renewable power and RECs) market fundamentals.
- Working knowledge of state RPS programs.
- Working knowledge of regional REC registries.
- Ability to work with cross functional teams to collaborate/knowledge share/problem solve.
- Demonstrated creative and critical thinking skills.
- Demonstrated ability to recommend tactics to solve complex problems.
- Strong knowledge in MS Office – specifically excel to sort/analyze large data sets.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; must be able to provide timely and accurate data analysis.
- Strong business writing skills and experience developing communication in various formats.
- Learner mindset and eye for continuous improvement needs.
- Organization and time management skills, with the ability to maintain a strict level of attention to detail
- Ability to work well within a team environment and demonstrate a vested interest in team goals and objectives
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships
- Self-motivated with the desire to consistently improve performance and gain further knowledge
- Ability to meet deadlines, learn quickly and demonstrate effective problem solving and follow-up skills
