Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your ability to engage with customers and promote products will contribute to a positive shopping experience in our grocery store environment.

Duties

• Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries.
• Operate cash registers and manage cash transactions accurately.
• Process customer purchases using POS systems, ensuring quick and efficient service.
• Perform basic math calculations to ensure accurate pricing and change.
• Upsell products by demonstrating knowledge of promotions and special offers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization at the checkout area.
• Handle customer complaints or concerns with professionalism and empathy.
• Assist in product demos to enhance customer engagement and sales.
• Supervise junior staff as needed, providing guidance and support during shifts.

Experience

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash registers, POS systems, and retail math is advantageous.
• Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for shoppers.
• Basic math skills are essential for accurate transaction handling.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as communication with diverse customers is valued.
• Experience in upselling or supervising staff will be considered a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
