Cashier and Stocker

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier/Stocker to join our team at a busy grocery store. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service while ensuring that our shelves are well-stocked and organized. The ideal candidate will have experience in cash register operations, inventory management, and a strong ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.

Responsibilities

• Operate the cash register efficiently, handling transactions accurately and providing receipts to customers.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store shelves.
• Assist with inventory management by restocking shelves, organizing products, and ensuring that displays are appealing.
• Communicate with customers to provide information about products, promotions, and store policies.
• Produce sales reports as needed and assist in managing stock levels.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure a smooth workflow throughout the store.
• Perform general cleaning duties to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for customers.

Experience

• Previous experience in a grocery store or retail environment is preferred.
• Familiarity with cash register operations and basic accounting principles.
• Knowledge of inventory management practices is an asset.
• Ability to communicate effectively; multilingual skills are a plus.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in maintaining stock levels.
• Capability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $14.71 - $16.07 per hour

Expected hours: 70 per week
