Job Summary:
As a Final Grade Operator in residential construction, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the completion of landscaping and grading tasks to meet the final specifications of a construction project. Your primary responsibility will be to operate heavy equipment and machinery to achieve precise grading and leveling of the construction site. It is imperative that candidates for this role possess a clean driving record as the position involves transporting equipment to and from job sites.

Responsibilities:

• Operate Heavy Equipment: Utilize heavy machinery such as skid steers, graders, and excavators to perform final grading and landscaping activities on residential construction sites.
• Precise Grading: Achieve accurate and precise grading according to project specifications, ensuring proper drainage and elevation levels.
• Collaboration: Work closely with construction crews, project managers, and other team members to coordinate grading activities with overall project timelines.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance on equipment to ensure its proper functioning, report any malfunctions promptly, and assist in repairs as needed.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a secure working environment for yourself and others on the construction site.
• Site Cleanup: Assist in cleaning and preparing construction sites for final inspection, including removal of debris, excess soil, and other materials.
• Transportation: Safely transport heavy equipment to and from job sites, following all traffic regulations and maintaining a clean driving record.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of work performed, equipment usage, and any issues encountered during the grading process.
• Problem Solving: Identify and address any grading or landscaping challenges that may arise during the construction process.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Proven experience as a Final Grade Operator in residential construction projects.
• Heavy Equipment Operation: Proficient in operating bulldozers, graders, excavators, and other heavy machinery.
• Clean Driving Record: Must have a clean driving record and a valid driver's license. A CDL A license is preferred
• Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including prolonged periods of standing, lifting, and operating heavy equipment.
• Team Player: Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team.
• Safety Conscious: Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Problem Solving: Ability to identify and solve problems quickly and efficiently.
• Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure accurate grading and adherence to project specifications.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00 - $27.00 per hour
