What is the purpose of this role?
The Work Package Technician (WPT) develops quality work packages/plans that address safety/health/environmental factors, reliability, and cost.
Where does this role fit in the organization?
As an offshore WPT, you will play a significant role in the successful delivery of Maintenance Execution. This role is on the frontline of Maintenance Execution and will be responsible for the following:
Walking down corrective and preventative maintenance work orders
Delivering first time quality work packs to the field
Identifying and coordinating 3rd party resource needs
What will the successful candidate be responsible for?
Accountabilities include:
Field Plan high priority and short term work orders as required
Perform work prep for all maintenance work orders including but not limited to:
Create corrective work orders from approved notifications
Walk job locations to scope work, gather job site details via work prep checklist, identify specific and detailed materials requirements, elevate scoping needs to offshore leadership for further input from technicians, advisors, engineering (including threat and opportunity small plant changes at discretion of maintenance team lead)
Arrange intrusive troubleshooting suborders as needed
Create digital work prep folder in SharePoint and upload work prep documents and photos
Provide on-site SAP support
Assist offshore leadership with Daily Coordination Meeting and Notification/History Review Meeting
Ensure Shop Papers are available for the upcoming weeks’ schedule.
Receive and facilitate technical quality control with technicians for new material from warehouseman, kit, and update SAP with material location.
Verify the delivery of 3rd party tools & equipment required for maintenance jobs
Flag adjustments to materials updates to stock items to warehouseman.
Gather additional required details requested by onshore discipline planners to aid in onshore planning
Perform future week Job Scope Review to spot changes and make adjustments to work orders as needed
Ensure opportunity shut in (OSI) work prep has been field verified for accurate durations, work prep, and materials. Maintain accurate Production Alignment Board for OSI candidates.
What We Need from You?
Relevant work experience in an offshore setting with discipline-specific asset equipment, systems, and components
Experience with and knowledge of maintenance planning principles and techniques
Must have familiarity with oil and gas separation and processing systems and equipment.
Experience with and knowledge of operating and maintaining an oil and gas production platform in the Gulf of Mexico
Working knowledge of SAP Plant Maintenance Module
Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices
Must hold or be able to obtain HUET certification
Must hold or able to secure a TWIC Card through Transportation Security Administration (TSA)
Effective organization skills, time management, and interpersonal skills are a must.
Must be able to communicate effectively with a range of stakeholders.
Must be self-directed and work well independently.
Experienced team player capable of multi-tasking and managing multiple competing priorities.
Ability to develop and foster positive working relationships with Planning Team members, asset leadership, and all asset-based personnel is a necessity.
Accountable for the overall work preparation and execution of routine maintenance activities including activity coordination with the asset and budgeting significant spend.
This role will also execute planning for threats/opportunities and change related items.
Must be at least 18 years old
Must be able to legally work in the United States.
Salary : $29,000 - $36,800
