The Pipeline Controller Is responsible for the safe and efficient remote operation of pipelines, tanks, and pumping equipment involved in the transportation of crude oil and other products.

WHAT’S THE ROLE
Shell Pipeline Controllers remotely control and monitor pipeline systems and terminals, as well as comply with the applicable Department of Transportation regulations.
- Pipeline Controllers daily activity may include the following:
- Safe and efficient remote operation of pipelines, tanks and pumping equipment involved in the transportation of crude oil and other products
- Ensure strict compliance with Company safety policies and procedures
- Verbal and oral communication of productivity and movement issues to right-of-way technicians, employees, supervisors, etc.
- Consistently ensure the safety of pipeline operations and prevent environmental damage while meeting established schedules, minimizing costs, securing product integrity, and meeting customer needs
- Work in 24 hour/7 day a week operation that requires shift work
- Maintain records of operational activities for optimal and thorough handover to additional shifts
- Safe work attitude and practical knowledge of industrial safety standards Proper use of personal computers to meet daily performance expectations
- Communicate with 3rd party maintenance technician and other team members

Must be authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without the requirement of a work visa
Must be at least 18 years old
Must communicate effectively with colleagues, customers and stakeholders
Must have a minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent
To attend to emergencies, successful candidates must reside within 60 minutes of the site or be willing to relocate to within 60 minutes of the site without relocation
Willing to work rotating shift work schedule if needed
Willing to work overtime, holidays, nights, and weekends
Willing to attend training sessions, meetings and assist at other locations periodically.
Willing to be on call and meet call-out standards to respond to site responsibilities and emergencies
Must possess a current, valid license to operate a motor vehicle in the United States
