Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist in accordance with the treatment plan.
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional training, and mobility activities.
-Monitor and document patient progress, reporting changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
-Instruct and educate patients and their families on exercises and care strategies to support recovery.
-Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with facility and regulatory guidelines.
-Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to support comprehensive patient care.
-Ensure the safety and comfort of patients during all therapy sessions.
-Flexibly respond to on-call or as-needed schedule requests based on patient volume and staffing needs.
-Adhere to facility policies, procedures, and ethical standards of practice.
Experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
-Graduation from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
-Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and accurate documentation practices.
-Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
-Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient needs and flexible scheduling.
-Proven track record of maintaining a safe and supportive therapy environment.
Skills:
- Strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with patients, therapists, and other healthcare professionals
- Ability to follow instructions and work collaboratively as part of a team
- Attention to detail to accurately document patient information and progress
- Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility exercises and transfers
-Competence in using therapy equipment and assistive devices.
As a Physical Therapy Assistant(PTAs), working at an outpatient facility play a vital role in assisting patients with rehabilitation and recovery after injuries, surgeries, or chronic conditions. In this setting, PTAs work under the supervision of physical therapists to implement treatment plans designed to improve mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.
Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
