Position Summary
The GSE Mechanic is responsible for supporting the Line Service by providing equipment in pristine condition, minimizing downtime through preventative measures, and quickly performing repairs as required. The GSE Mechanic will need to professionally interact with employees and, at times, customers or tenants. The key duties include:
Job Description:
- Inspect and maintain ground support equipment used in operations
- Troubleshoot, repair and/or overhaul ground support equipment
- Diagnose problems using applicable manuals and procure parts efficiently
- Complete preventative maintenance measures as listed in the PMI Manual
- Keep PMI Manual updated with schedules of inspections and the details of each under the direction of the Line Service Manager
- Regularly wash/wax equipment to maintain pristine appearance
- Maintain high level of cleanliness in GSE shop, office and storage areas at all times
- Maintains company dress code
- Complete GSE paperwork as required
- Routinely monitor the Fuel Quality Control forms for issues and notate when fixes have been made
- Maintain reasonable level of key parts in stock
- Complete duties assigned in accordance with our IS-BAH standards
- Follow safety policies and procedures at all times
- Complete projects at the direction of the Line Service Manager
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED.
- 1 years’ experience in mechanical repair work.
- The ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs., bend routinely and walk and stand throughout the day.
- The ability to work independently.
- Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check following the FAA and DOT guidelines.
