Insurance Sales and Service Representative

Responsibilities:

Due to an upcoming retirement, Andrew Eckman Shelter Insurance in West Plains, Mo is looking to grow our team by adding an insurance sales representative. This position will be mainly servicing current customers with their insurance needs including, but not limited to, taking premium payments, making policy changes, collaborating with underwriters, seeking new sales opportunities, etc... This position could be part-time or full time for the right candidate. This will be hourly pay with possible commission, bonuses, etc. MORE JOB DUTIES WILL BE DISCUSSED AT TIME OF INTERVIEW..candidate will be required to obtain property, casualty, and life insurance licenses. Reimbursement will be provided after candidate obtains these

-Service and Sell various types of insurance policies to individuals and businesses
- Develop and maintain a client base through networking, referrals, a
- Assess clients' insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage options
- Provide excellent customer service by promptly responding to inquiries and resolving issues
- Stay up-to-date on insurance industry trends and changes in regulations
- Prepare and present insurance quotes to potential clients
- Process policy applications, changes, renewals, and cancellations accurately and efficiently
- Collaborate with underwriters to negotiate terms and conditions for policies
- Maintain accurate records of all interactions with clients

Requirements:
- Proven experience in insurance sales or a related field
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and compliance standards
- Strong sales administration skills, including lead generation, pipeline management, and closing deals
- Ability to effectively market insurance products to potential clients
- Experience in telemarketing or cold calling is preferred
- Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms for clients
- Outstanding customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information in a clear and concise manner
- Previous experience in retail sales or a customer-facing role is beneficial

Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 40 per week
