Brokerage Accounting Specialist
$20.59 – $25.53 per hour
Job Level: Individual Contributor
What You Will Be Doing:
Responsible for overseeing all aspects of Daniel Boone Agency's accounting functions: Including reconciling and maintaining up to date and accurate accounting records using EPIC and Workday's reporting systems and preparing for the external annual audit. Perform duties related to agent commissions with EPIC, policy downloads, direct bill commission downloads, IVANS and commission importing. Process daily premium transactions, ACH banking transactions and various disbursements. Calculate and combine information to create reports for management to use for annual audit, budget planning, E&O and Corporate Accounting state tax return. Train DBA commission team and coordinates DBA accounting work with meeting monthly deadlines.
What We're Looking For:
- Excellent analytical abilities, math, organizational and statistical skills.
- Excellent computer and keyboarding skills in association with DBA Agency Management System, the administration systems of companies contracted with DBA, Microsoft Excel and other company systems/websites.
- General insurance experience with knowledge of insurance and underwriting procedures preferred.
- Ability to qualify for and obtain Missouri Insurance License.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
