Claims Assistant
$16.66 starting pay
Job Level: Individual Contributor
What You Will Be Doing:
Performs general administrative duties for Claims personnel such as keyboarding, filing, record keeping, preparing reports, inventorying and ordering supplies, handling telephone duties, and serving as the office receptionist in a branch. Performs any other related duties necessary to ensure the Branch or Unit is functioning efficiently. Pays branch bills, updates all rosters and emergency contacts, and assigns claims. Makes payments on claims at the adjuster or management request. Makes phone calls to collect data on claims from Medicare, loss payees, mortgagees, medical providers and requests for police or fire reports.
Must work flexible hours to maintain core business hours for customers in all U.S. time zones. Due to the duties and responsibilities of this position, a Credit Bureau Report may be ordered on final candidates.
