What You Will Be Doing :
Supervises and directs daily operations of Life Claims staff to optimize customer, agent, and other stakeholder experience. Monitors and reviews individual life, individual health, disability, and group life claim files to ensure proper handling. Audits work for quality control and performance. Maintains and updates processes and understanding of policy provisions, state regulations, and tax laws. Coordinates staffing, work assignments, and employee productivity and development.
What We're Looking For :
- Strong leadership and people management skills
- Solid understanding of general accounting principles partnered with the ability to understand, interpret, and apply laws, rules, and regulations.
- Demonstrates superior judgment through expertise and aptitude combined with a high degree of empathy.
- Excellent ability to analyze and evaluate facts and calculations and make sound decisions.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and assignments while performing supervisory duties in a professional manner.
- Preferred bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience with Five to ten years in general life insurance operations.
- Possess a broad knowledge of company operations and interdepartmental relationships.
- Ability to perform essential functions of the job, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
