Medicare Compliance Assistant

What You Will Be Doing :
The Medicare Compliance Claims Assistant provides essential administrative support to the Medicare Unit within the Claims Department. This role encompasses a variety of duties, including data entry, filing, record-keeping, report preparation, supply inventory management, and telephone support. The assistant ensures accurate data collection and communication of claims-related information to Medicare, facilitating compliance and efficiency within the unit. Additional responsibilities include maintaining systems and processes to support the Medicare Unit's operations.
What We're Looking For :
- Strong administrative and organizational skills.
- High school diploma or vocational equivalent with demonstrated above-average performance in English, math, typing, and business-related courses.
- Ongoing participation in administrative or insurance-related continuing education.
- Excellent communication skills and professional telephone etiquette.
- Ability to maintain a consistent work schedule with reliable attendance to support workflow and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in technology, including keyboarding, word processing software, electronic communications, and Medicare and claims-handling platforms.
- Ability to work effectively under supervision, follow instructions, and collaborate harmoniously with colleagues and management.
- Proven track record of excellent attendance and the ability to perform administrative functions efficiently.
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the position, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
