Position Overview:
Under the direction and guidance of the General Manager, the Food and Beverage Manager will ensure exceptional hospitality and service for Club members in all aspects of food and beverage operations. This role requires a commitment to discretion, professionalism, and adherence to the Club’s established policies and procedures.
The Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for meeting or exceeding all budgetary expectations as set forth by the Flag Officers and Trustees. Additionally, they will oversee the recruitment, training, and management of a team of hospitality professionals, ensuring seamless execution of food and beverage services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily food and beverage operations, ensuring excellence in service and member satisfaction.
- Develop and implement service standards in alignment with Club policies and expectations.
- Maintain budgetary goals, cost controls, and financial accountability as determined by the Flag Officers and Trustees.
- Hire, train, and manage a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of professionalism and excellence.
- Coordinate with the culinary team to ensure seamless service between kitchen and front-of-house operations.
- Plan and execute member events, private functions, and Club dining experiences with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and other department heads to enhance overall member experience.
- Work with committees to coordinate events
Qualifications & Skills:
- Proven experience in food and beverage management, preferably in a private club, luxury hospitality, or fine dining setting.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Budgeting, financial planning, and cost-control experience.
- Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-level service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of industry regulations, health codes, and best practices.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
