The Senior Director of Behavior Health Programs is an exempt salaried position. The Behavior Health Program is a vital part of ShelterCare and the Senior Director of Behavior Health Programs will provide leadership for its programs with a clinical aspect. This position provides expertise to the agency in the areas of clinical supervision, risk management, crisis response, and Oregon Health Authority rules as they pertain to behavioral health activities. This position directly supervises five employees and the candidate is expected to support various other departments with clinical navigation issues with clients. The Senior Director of Behavior Health Programs will identify appropriate opportunities to expand ShelterCare Services that match the agency's mission and values.

This is a full-time exempt position that will report to the Executive Director. The starting salary for this position is $83,300 to $92,000 per year, depending on a number of factors including experience. ShelterCare offers a one-time $600.00 per year increase after 6 months and yearly raises and COLA increases.

ABOUT SHELTERCARE

ShelterCare is a social services agency that is directed by a board of community volunteers. We have multiple programs in the Eugene/Springfield area. We offer a range of housing solutions combined with wraparound services for families and community members who are experiencing homelessness, on the verge of becoming homeless and have a serious mental illness. Because of the variety of services we offer, we are able to help many people in our community.

What you bring to ShelterCare:

Required

Five years of experience working with unhoused and/or SPMI populations with progressive growth in administrative and program development (This is a must have); LPC or LCSW License(This is must have); knowledge of Oregon Administrative Rules governing mental health and behavioral health services; knowledge of HIPAA and 42 CFR, Part 2; must be able to pass an Oregon DHS Background Check; strong planning and organizational skills; Professional writing skills; Ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels.
