Shelton Academy in Doral, Florida is seeking full-time qualified teachers for the 2025-2026 school year. The Applicants must be nurturing, creative, and dedicated professionals with the ability to develop lessons that cultivate critical thinking skills, designing instructions to motivate and engage all learners, and the ability to develop thematic units. Available Positions:
- 6-12 Social Studies Teacher
- 6-12 Science Teacher
- Lower School Teacher (1-5)
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Collaborate with colleagues, administrators, and parents to support student success.
- Participate in school events, professional development, and extracurricular activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Education, or related field.
- Florida Department of Education certification in appropriate area preferred, temporary or professional.
- Be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church; experience in the Roman Catholic environment preferred.
- Flexible in assessing needs and strategies and adapt appropriately in a ministerial environment.
- Able to collaborate in a professional learning community to develop, implement and continuously improve the effectiveness of the curriculum and instruction to result in high levels of student achievement.
- Excellent classroom management skills.
- Excellent presentation skills with skill in use of innovative instructional technologies.
- Excellent oral and written English -language communication skills, including clear speaking voice.
- Good spelling and grammar required.
- Proficiency with interactive boards, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, PowerPoint a plus.
- Proficiency with Apple technologies such as iPad.
- Professional demeanor.
