What are the responsibilities and job description for the Laundry Attendant (Weekends Required) position at Shelton Laundry?
As a Laundromat Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and providing excellent service to our customers. Your main duties and responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Customer Service:
- Providing excellent customer service to all patrons, addressing any concerns or inquiries promptly and professionally.
- Issue Laundry cards, reload balances, and troubleshoot any issues with card usage.
- Assisting customers with using the laundromat's laundry app, including troubleshooting technical issues and providing guidance on app features.
- Educating customers about the benefits of using the laundry card system and app, such as convenient payment options and loyalty rewards.
- Greeting customers and assisting them with using the self-service washing and drying machines.
Laundry Services:
- Handling drop-off wash services, including receiving and tagging laundry, processing orders, and notifying customers of completion.
- Sorting and folding laundry according to customer preferences and specifications.
- Ensuring that all laundry services meet quality standards and are completed on time.
Facility Maintenance:
- Keeping the laundromat clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times.
- Monitoring and replenishing laundry supplies, such as detergent, fabric softener, and dryer sheets.
- Reporting any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the manager or maintenance personnel.
Cash Handling:
- Handling cash transactions for self-service machines, drop-off wash services, and vending machines.
- Operating the cash register accurately and maintaining proper cash handling procedures.
Customer Relations:
- Building positive relationships with customers and addressing any concerns or complaints professionally.
- Promoting customer loyalty programs and special promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in a customer service role is preferred but not required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction processing. Attention to detail and the ability to maintain cleanliness and organization in the laundromat.
