What are the responsibilities and job description for the Food Service Worker- PRN position at Shenandoah Medical Center?
1. Assists in the food preparation and food service to hospital patients, residents, personnel, Meals-On-Wheels recipients and guests.
- Prepares appetizing food by methods that conserve nutritional value.
- Serves patients according to modified diets listed by dietician or Manager.
- Assists with dishwashing.
- Serves meals to patients, employees and guests in a timely manner.
- Sanitizes work areas, cleans refrigerators and ovens as assigned.
- Sweeps and scrubs floors as assigned.
- Utilizes food in an economical fashion.
- Follows Infection Control policies pertaining to the Dietary Department.
- Knowledge of diet planning and ability to guide menu choices within the scope of those restrictions and the basic Food Pyramid.
2. Performs other duties as assigned.
