General Responsibilities - Host
· Greet the customer at the door is your priority
· Sit customer according to your flow chart ASAP
· Give complete and accurate information to the customer if you have a wait list
· Handle any issues that are brought to your attention by the lead server
· Complete side work during shifts to be completed before your shift ends
· Book reservations keeping in mind to not overbook the restaurant
· Pitch in to help the food runner when needed
· Explain how various menu items are prepared, describing ingredients and cooking methods when asked by the customer
· Arrange table settings and maintain a tidy dining room
· Carry dirty plates, glasses and silverware to kitchen for cleaning if needed with organization methods used in the kitchen – Full hands in Full hands out
· Bathrooms – check often - always check at the end of your shift– refill soap dispensers, fill paper towel holder, fill toilet paper roll, sweep if needed, change out trash bag, wipe off sink – call bus/wash person if the bathroom needs detailed attention
· Review daily specials, changes on the menu and service specifications for any reservations
· Follow all health department regulations
· Provide excellent customer service to guests
· Be on time for your shift
· Ability to work without direct supervision
Starting pay: $9-$12 Base Pay tips (approx. $3-$6 extra an hour). Higher starting pay depending on experience.
*Mondays and Tuesdays guaranteed off
