Job Description
Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake Central School District is seeking dedicated and flexible individuals to join our team as Substitute Teaching Assistants. This position offers the opportunity to support teachers and students in a dynamic learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist classroom teachers with implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Support students with their academic and emotional needs.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, lunch, and recess.
- Help maintain a positive and respectful classroom environment.
- Adapt to various classroom settings and student needs.
- Communicate effectively with teachers and school staff.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, college coursework in education is a plus.
- Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to be flexible and adapt to changing situations.
- NYS Department of Education Fingerprint Clearance (or willing to obtain)
