Warehouse Manager

Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Manager to lead operations at our Richmond, VA location. The ideal candidate will oversee all warehouse functions, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and team leadership. This role is integral to maintaining our standards of efficiency and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Operational Oversight: Lead daily warehouse activities, including receiving, inventory control, and wire management.
• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor the Fulfillment, Inventory, and Receiving staff to ensure team success.
• Staff Development: Recruit, onboard, train, and support warehouse staff while fostering a positive work environment.
• Performance Management: Monitor staff performance, provide coaching and counseling, and address disciplinary matters when necessary.
• Customer Support: Communicate effectively with customers, sales teams, and employees across our locations to ensure seamless operations.
• Safety Compliance: Ensure adherence to company policies and safety standards, including obtaining certifications for pallet jack and reach truck operations.

Qualifications

• Experience: 5 years of management experience leading a similar-sized workforce in a warehouse environment.
• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Skills:
  • Leadership: The ability to coordinate a team safely and effectively, and inspire them to work towards a common goal
  • Communication: The ability to communicate job expectations, challenges, and changes to team members and other professionals
  • Problem-solving: The ability to quickly identify and solve problems to keep operations moving
  • Organization: The ability to use space efficiently and pay attention to detail
  • Technical knowledge: Knowledge of warehouse management software (WMS)
  • Safety awareness: The ability to be up to date with safe working practices, safety certifications, and emergency procedures
  • Even-tempered: The ability to keep calm in high-pressure, stressful environments
  • Training and engagement: The ability to train new team members and provide feedback and encouragement
  • Conflict management: The ability to manage disagreements that can arise on the warehouse floor
  • Proficiency in timecard management.

Product Knowledge: Experience with electrical products is a bonus.

Shift and Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00am to 6:00pm.

Compensation Details: The expected annual salary for this position is $65,000 per year.
