Job Description:
We are seeking experienced caregivers to join our team. As a caregiver with Shepherd Heart Homecare, you will provide essential in-home support to our clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with personal care tasks (bathing, dressing, grooming)
- Support mobility and transfers
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding
- Provide medication reminders
- Perform light housekeeping and laundry duties
- Offer companionship and emotional support
- Assist with transportation to appointments and errands
- Monitor and report changes in client health status
Qualifications:
- Valid HHA, CNA, STNA Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable nature
Experience
- Previous experience in caregiving or related fields such as home health or senior care is preferred.
- Knowledge of memory care practices and techniques is beneficial.
- Familiarity with first aid procedures and emergency response protocols is an asset.
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or autism is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams are essential.
- A compassionate attitude combined with patience and empathy towards clients' needs is crucial for success in this role.
