PURPOSE:

This opportunity as a Personal Lines Team Lead within the Shepherd family, in addition to your primary role as an Account Manager, you will provide support, motivation and collaboration to the Personal Lines Account Managers in designated locations. You will also provide support in implementation of strategic initiatives. With a positive attitude, the Account Management team also provides customer service to clients as assigned and requested.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Provide feedback on agency efficiency and procedures and assist in process improvement efforts.
· Provide feedback to the Regional Manager on performance and training needs of Account Managers and Coordinators in designated offices.
· Assist in supervision of Personal Lines Account Managers and Account Coordinators in several office locations
· Collaborate with Regional Personal Lines Manager and adhere to necessary modifications to agency standards.
· Maintain relationships between carriers, contracts and sales initiatives.
· Share technical expertise and provide training to the personal lines support staff as needed.
· Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and customer service on their assigned book of clients.
· Support full utilization insurance agency management system (AMS360/ImageRight).
· Stay informed regarding insurance technical knowledge, market trends, agency automation, company information, and other operating techniques.
· Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
· Experience: Five (5) years’ experience in personal lines operations and/or sales with a multi-line insurance agency or brokerage operation.
· High school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required. College degree or relevant work experience, preferred.
· Required state licensing certification.
· Strong understanding of personal lines insurance coverages, forms, procedures, and policy rating systems.
· Professional designation is a plus.
· Familiar in a variety of computer software applications including Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), agency & document managing system (AMS 360 is preferred).
· Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations. Position continually requires demonstrated poise, tact, and diplomacy.
· Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
