Summer Camp Teacher

Overview

Summer camp is May 27th-August 19th, 2025.
We are seeking enthusiastic and dedicated Camp Counselors to join our team for an exciting summer camp experience. As a Camp Counselor, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for children. You will be responsible for supervising campers, leading activities, and fostering a positive atmosphere that encourages personal growth and teamwork. Ideal candidates will have experience working with children and possess skills in various areas such as sports, arts, and education.

Duties

• Supervise and engage with campers during daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Plan and lead a variety of activities
• Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive interactions among campers.
• Maintain open communication with parents and guardians regarding camper progress and any concerns.
• Ensure all camp facilities are clean, organized, and safe for all participants.
• Provide first aid assistance when necessary and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children in a camp or educational setting is preferred.
• Strong classroom management skills to effectively engage groups of children.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles to support the growth of campers.
• Experience in behavior management techniques to handle various situations positively.
• Skills in sports outside games
• Certification in First Aid/CPR is highly desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also demonstrating leadership qualities.
• A passion for educating and inspiring young minds through creative programming.

Pay: From $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 – 8 per week
