Overview
The Groundskeeper maintains the outdoors and as well as the exterior and interior of the buildings.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Mows lawns and meticulously trims weeds throughout the organization’s property to ensure well-groomed appearance.
- Skillfully applies fresh coats of paint to both interior and exterior walls, enhancing the aesthetic appeal of the building while meticulously detailing trim work.
- Efficiently operates snow removal equipment to keep parking lots and sidewalks clear and safe during winter months.
- Collaborates in the maintenance and repair of buildings, addressing plumbing issues, and troubleshooting electrical systems to ensure everything operates smoothly.
- Carefully removes weeds from vibrant flower garden, pruning shrubs and trees, promoting healthy plant growth and aesthetics.
- Provides thorough gutter cleaning and performs minor repairs to prevent water damage and maintain the integrity of the structure.
- Regularly checks and cleans smoke detectors, replacing batteries as necessary to ensure safety standards are upheld.
- Assists in conducting quarterly inspections of independent homes, helping to identify maintenance needs and ensure quality living conditions.
- Receives written work orders or verbal instructions from the supervisor, ensuring tasks are conducted efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain the confidentiality of all residents, staff and organization information.

Education and/or Experience / Requirements
- Entry level position. Maintenance experience is helpful but willing to train a motivated candidate.
- Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and proof of insurance.
