What are the responsibilities and job description for the RN Home Health Quality Assurance Coordinator position at Shepherd of the Valley?
The RN Home Health Quality Assurance Coordinator will provide direction, coordination, and implementation of professional and supportive services to clients in a safe and cost-effective manner by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supports company mission, values, strategic goals and high standards of customer service.
- Responsible review in ensuring accurate, complete and timely provision of quality client care and services in compliance with regulatory, operational and financial requirements.
- Assures the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of clinical records in compliance with regulatory, operational and financial requirements.
- Responsible for monitoring and evaluation of clinical measures of performance. Develops and follows through with action plans based upon measurement results.
- Perform record reviews in EMR and is responsible for locking of records. Responsible to approve all orders and sign Plan of Cares.
- Provides support and acts as liaison to clinical staff, including but not limited to service feedback, mentoring and problem resolution.
- Provides training and educational opportunities for clinical staff. Participates in and/or facilitates these activities as necessary.
- Knowledgeable regarding reporting and benchmarking tools (EG: IQIES reports, Value Based Purchasing, Care Compare.)
- Responsible for clinical policy and procedure development and implementation.
- Assist with orientation of new staff.
- Home visits if needed.
- As deemed necessary, and on an interim basis, may/will take on duties and responsibilities of the Home Health Director (Refer to the Home Health Director Job Description).
Education and/or Experience
Must be a Registered Nurse with a minimum of two years Home Health Care experience and at least one year of supervisory experience. Oasis knowledge required.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
Must be a Registered Nurse in the State of Ohio. Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record and proof of insurance.
