About Us:
Shepherd's Hollow Golf Club has long been recognized among the best public golf courses in the nation. Its serene property is often compared to northern Michigan and provides one of the most unique golfing experiences. Golf however is only part of the story. Shepherd’s Hollow is now gaining a reputation as one of the best banquet venues in southeast Michigan. In 2020, we opened a spectacular new 6,000 sq. ft event venue, The Station. This exciting new addition has allowed us to host high-end events including weddings, showers, corporate business meetings, and golf outings.
About the Opportunity:
This is an opportunity to see all aspects of the hospitality and event industry. You will have the chance to work under our in-house event coordinators and work with them in executing events at the highest level. You will also work closely with our culinary and food and beverage departments to ensure the best possible experience for our clients and their guests. As this is a position in the events industry it is required that you work some late nights and weekend events. This is a paid internship.

You will be responsible for:

Assist Sales Team/Event Coordinators with Prospective and Booked Clients in Planning of Events (Weddings, Showers, Golf Events, Corporate Events, Etc.)

Assist Sales Team/ Event Coordinators in administrative work. This will include learning how to create BEOs, develop layouts, ceremony rehearsals, room setup, etc.

Participate in weekly team meetings reviewing upcoming events.

Grow to individually lead event planning of showers, tastings, and other events.

Shadow prospective wedding tours.

Assist with Day of Event coordination.

Generating ideas for marketing and growth of the organization
