Must be able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, and the ability to maintain a high level of professionalism. Must be able to devote 20 hours each week to the TRIO/Student Support Services program.

Enrolled in a field of study that supplements the staff abilities in addressing the needs of the students. Ability to plan and organize events. Strong supervision skills. Ability to work with groups of 30-35 students. Ability to walk for long periods of time. Ability to work in a team environment

- Provides support to the SSS Academic Retention Specialists in Developing, scheduling and leading student development workshops.
- Provides support to the SSS Academic Retention Specialists in working with small group learning sessions.
- Work with SSS participants in developing their Individualized success Plans.
- Answering and directing telephone calls.
- Work with the SSS ARS and administrative assistant in arranging all cultural and graduate school tours.
- Serves as a student chaperone during all cultural and educational activities.
- Work with the SSS ARS and program administrative assistant to write the quarterly program newsletter.
- Work with the SSS administrative assistant to update the program webpage.
- Some evening and weekend hours may be required.
- Update program facebook page.
- Maintain program student database.
- Perform other duties as assigned by ARS, administrative assistant and Director.
