POSITION OVERVIEW
The Life Skills Coach position is a key role in which staff train students to live more independently. You will work in a college residential setting after classes and on weekends to teach real-life skills and promote a fun college experience for the students.
Options for full-time hours, part-time hours, weekend-only, or coverage-only. There is plenty of flexibility to find a schedule that works with your other life commitments. Work 1-5 shifts per week or just part-time casual.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support students with IDD in a college residential setting at an 8:1 student-to-staff ratio
- Train students in cooking, cleaning, safety, time management, and social behavior to promote independent living
- Build positive working relationships with students to foster growth and development
- Complete communication and documentation to promote effective team collaboration
- Take students on off-campus activities to provide a great college experience
