Drug and Alcohol Counselor: Substance Abuse Program – Boyle County Detention Center

The Shepherd’s House currently serves over 250 incarcerated clients in three counties. The Substance Abuse Programs (SAP), maintained by The Shepherd’s House, is an intensive six-month, evidence-based program focused on substance use disorder treatment. We are looking for a Drug and Alcohol Counselor for our Franklin County Jail Program.
As a Drug and Alcohol Counselor you will be responsible for:
· Client intake and assessment
· Treatment planning
· Record keeping
· Group Counseling
· Facilitating Psycho-educational classes
· Managing a case load of 20 clients
**Minimum Education Requirements: Must have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, human services, counseling, or a related field OR a bachelor’s degree with a minimum licensure of a Temporary Drug and Alcohol Counselor (TCADC).
