Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Landscape Supervisor to join our team. This candidate MUST be local, ideally within 20 miles of Purcellville, VA.
As a Landscape Supervisor, you must be able to drive a truck with an 18-foot trailer and will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the daily operations of our landscaping projects. This is a leadership role that requires strong supervisory skills and a deep understanding of landscape maintenance and construction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise a team of landscapers, ensuring work is completed efficiently and to high standards
- Plan and organize daily tasks, assigning responsibilities to team members
- Build and maintain various landscape features, including gardens, lawns, trees, and irrigation systems
- Perform groundskeeping duties such as mowing, trimming, and edging
- Ensure proper care and maintenance of tools, equipment, and vehicles
- Collaborate with clients to understand their landscaping needs and provide recommendations
- Monitor project progress to ensure timelines are met and quality is maintained
- Train new team members on proper techniques and safety procedures
- Extensive knowledge of landscaping techniques, including tree care, garden design and lawn care
- Ability to operate landscaping equipment such as mowers, trimmers, and blowers
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot issues on-site - Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication skills to effectively interact with clients and team members
